Kanava replaces radios and scattered group chats on set with one app. Crews get instant push-to-talk voice, department channels, announcements, a crew directory and a production dashboard on the phones they already carry. Kanava is developed by Smart Pulse Oy, a Finnish technology company founded in 2024 by Sam Pattisapu.

Kanava is production communication software for film, television and commercial crews. Instead of renting radios per person and coordinating across separate messaging apps, a production creates one workspace where every department has its own channel, announcements reach the whole crew, and voice is delivered push-to-talk over mobile or Wi-Fi networks. Voice and production data are encrypted in transit and at rest and hosted in the European Union. Kanava is operated by Smart Pulse Oy (Business ID 3499395-9), a Helsinki-based technology company founded in 2024 by Sam Pattisapu, who serves as Founder & CEO.
